Our Happily Ever After Weekend
Sophie and Nicky will say ‘I do’ in an intimate ceremony with family in Big Sur on 08.30.2026 — and on 10.03.2026, they cannot wait to celebrate with all their loved ones at The Nolen in downtown San Diego. Join us the following morning for brunch at our home, meet our animals and come enjoy some breakfast treats in our backyard!

The Venue
Sophie and Nicky will be hosting their Happily Ever After Party at The Nolen in Downtown San Diego.
The Nolen is a stunning rooftop venue with sweeping views of the city skyline and Petco Park. The evening will be a relaxed cocktail-style celebration with appetizers, a taco table, desserts, drinks, and plenty of fun with friends and family.
It is easily accessible in downtown San Diego, we recommend ubering or there is paid parking just a block away. Get ready for a casual, festive evening where everyone can mingle, toast, and continue the celebration well into the night!

Once Upon a Time
HOW THEY MET
It all began at Nicky’s 20th birthday party in San Luis Obispo. Sophie was visiting her high school friends — who happened to be Nicky’s roommates — when she met the birthday boy himself, wearing a panda tank top, grass hula skirt, a fedora, and sunglasses (a strong first impression!). Sparks flew instantly, and by the end of the night, they shared their first kiss… before it was hilariously interrupted by Nicky’s twin sister, Katie.
THE ADVENTURE BEGINS
Three years later, fate brought them back together when Nicky packed his bags and made the move to San Diego. It didn’t take long for the two to reconnect, fall for each other, and start making memories that would take them around the world. From scuba diving in Belize, to exploring Ecuador, Panama, Mexico, Ireland, Portugal, England, New York, Maine, Oregon, Washington, and Arizona (just to name a few!), their adventures big and small became the heartbeat of their relationship.
MAKING A HOME
Before long, Nicky found the perfect little beach bungalow in Ocean Beach, CA — and it wasn’t long before Sophie (and her cat, Karma) joined him. Even before they had a couch, Nicky brought home their first dog, Goose, and soon after, their second pup, Teddy. Between house projects, beach walks, and countless cozy evenings, the two built not just a home, but a life filled with love, laughter, and a few too many sandy paw prints.
THE PROPOSAL
In true Nicky fashion, he had a plan — a surprise trip to San José del Cabo. On their first morning, he woke Sophie up at 5:00 a.m. to watch the sunrise over the ocean. As the sky turned golden, Nicky got down on one knee and asked Sophie to marry him. She said “Of course!” — followed by an ecstatic happy dance and a sunrise surf session to celebrate.
